Man charged with murder of woman, 57, in south-east London | UK news

A 61-year-old man has been charged with the murder of a 57-year-old woman in south-east London.

Officers were called to an address in Greenland Quay, Surrey Quays, at about 3pm on Friday after reports that a woman had been stabbed, the Metropolitan police said.

London ambulance service and London’s air ambulance also attended, and the woman was taken to hospital where she died. She was identified as Margaret Cunningham.

Andrew Cunningham was charged with her murder. He has been remanded in custody and will appear at Croydon magistrates court on Monday.
